Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) established in 1398, the oldest university in Asia is among the top-ranking private universities in Korea. Now in the 21st century, SKKU has modernized, and made substantial advances towards becoming a global leader in research and education. For instance, according to the QS World University Ranking, SKKU ranked in the top 100s, and the Financial Times ranked SKKU’s Global MBA program as 51st worldwide. These and SKKU’s many unique advanced multidisciplinary, industry-linked programs appeal greatly to global talent. Since the Samsung Group regained the university’s foundation, remarkable progress has been made thanks to the Samsung-style management know how. Such close cooperation between the university and industry, has allowed for significant developments aided by Samsung’s generous support.
