10-31 Inc. is a Columbia, New Jersey-based manufacturer serving museums, historical sites, and zoos with display hardware and related exhibit components. Founded in 1985 by Bill Stender, the company began with custom mounts to hold priceless items without compromising their presentation, and five years later expanded into 10-31 Cabinetry. Three years after that, the firm launched Art Display Essentials to produce small- to mid-sized display components in-house for volume production at lower price points. The business traces its origins to a Wharton, New Jersey shop and has grown into multiple product lines used in exhibitions and displays. In 2012, 10-31 expanded by acquiring a vendor of easels and integrating that operation into the Art Display Essentials division under the Easels by Amron brand. In 2013 the Q-cord retractable barrier system was introduced, followed by other offerings such as MuseumRails, MuseumSigns, Q-Cord Art Stanchions, and Museum Display cases used by high-end collectors and museums. The company maintains in-house manufacturing capabilities and serves institutions and collectors with purpose-built display solutions across the exhibition sector, reflecting growth from a small shop to a broader exhibit-hardware provider.
