Since 1977, Independence Advocates of Maine has been providing innovative and dynamic supports to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Independence Advocates of Maine began in 1977 as a private, non-profit (501c-3) organization known as Treats Falls House. Through the years, we have expanded our services in order to make Maine a better place for people with disabilities to live.

Though the corporate name has changed, our commitment remains the same; to enrich the lives of people with disabilities by promoting independence, health, community inclusion, family ties and natural supports.
