504HealthNet is a regional nonprofit network in the Greater New Orleans area that coordinates 26 organizations to strengthen the safety-net health care system and support residents' quality of life and wellbeing. It engages with policymakers to streamline health insurance enrollment and expand access to primary and behavioral health care, with the aim of reducing the uninsured and increasing care for vulnerable populations. In the Greater New Orleans region, approximately 146,600 people are uninsured, underscoring the role of expanded access to care. The network's 28 member health centers provide primary and behavioral health services regardless of a patient’s ability to pay, and they accept public and private insurance while offering sliding-scale payment options for low-income and uninsured individuals. Based in Metairie, Louisiana, the organization sits within the wellness and fitness services sector as a collaborative effort aimed at improving health care safety-net services in the region. In May 2025, 504HealthNet participated in the Connected Care Summit, where PelEX led a discussion on care coordination during the event.
