50CAN is a nonprofit advocacy organization based in Washington, DC, focused on education policy. It identifies and supports local education leaders, equipping them with research, tools, and ideas to develop high-quality learning environments that meet diverse student needs. The organization operates across the United States, with activities and leadership reaching from Hawaii to Miami, as well as New Mexico, Connecticut, and Georgia. 50CAN continues to expand its network by adding more CANs, affiliates, fellowships, and neighborhood initiatives. In April 2026, it announced the appointment of two math and data science policy fellows, Anahit Baghshetsyan and Kate Dums, to advance state policy work and explore data-informed approaches to expanding math pathways.
