It formed in 2020 from the merger of River Valley Credit Union and Members Advantage Community Credit Union, adopting its current name in 2021. The cooperative operates nine branches across Vermont, and membership is open to residents of Vermont or Cheshire, Grafton and Sullivan counties in New Hampshire. In 2026 it announced a partnership with Connecticut On-Line Computer Center to support scalable growth while maintaining the member experience.
