Passionate about sharing the experience of live performance, A Far Cry Chamber Orchestra unites the intimacy and versatility of a string quartet with the power of an orchestral sound. In each performance, the members of this self-conducted ensemble rotate musical leadership from one work to the next, bringing a freshness to the concert experience. Working as a group to shape artistic expression and administrative direction, the Criers celebrate a spirit of collaboration. A Far Cry performs internationally, holds residencies at leading musical institutions, and, through educational workshops and free concerts in its store-front space in Boston, develops close relationships with small community audiences.
