There’s no quicker, more certain way to learn the rules of the road than with a qualified AA Driving Instructor. Our instructors know how to get the best from you. They’ll help you feel at ease in the driving seat so you can pass your test with confidence. 

And, with our nationwide network, we’re bound to have an instructor close to you. 

We recommend that you take a series of driving lessons with an AA Driving Instructor. Our experience shows that a single lesson before a test is unlikely to provide you with the skills and confidence necessary to pass the test 

**About our Driving Lessons** 

One of our qualified friendly and patient driving instructors will pick you up from home or school. It’s much easier and less stressful than learning with a friend or family member. 

You’ll learn to drive in a modern dual-controlled car – it’ll make you feel safe and comfortable while you’re starting to learn on-road skills for New Zealand's unique conditions. 

The theory you need to learn is incorporated into practical training while you’re in the car. We'll chart your progress with our key driving skills card. It's a blueprint that helps us identify your driving progress and needs. It will hardly feel like a lesson! 

As well as driving lessons and defensive driving courses we also offer more advanced driver training to businesses and individuals. So no matter what your level of experience, we can help you become a better and safer driver
