AOC also has a large focus on research and development company that works very closely with the International Used Oil Research Institute, The National Oil Recycler’s Association (NORA), EPA as well as state regulators, and technology manufacturers to identify and develop best available technologies, management practices, and management software. We are also developing an educational arm working in partnership with scientific organizations and major universities to train our next generation.

Identifying best available technologies are very challenging. Determining what is best in one area of the country may not be best in other areas. Other considerations in this process of identifying best available practices and technologies also must consider health and safety impacts and aspects, environmental impacts and aspects, regulatory requirements by federal, state, and local regulations, economic analysis, end-markets and the demand for the recycled and recovered products produced.

We were the first petroleum fuel reclamation organization to receive certifications under ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 in our industry. Being recognized as an industry leader that is continuously setting the standards for providing sound environmental services, Aaron Oil is the ONLY used oil and petroleum fuel reclamation company today that holds the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. With internal ISO audits conducted quarterly by certified auditors and third party ISO audits conducted annually, the company has maintained this rigid system of managing it’s operations.
