Abacus Engineering provides plumbing, HVAC, electrical, life safety, and fire sprinkler design services. Our staff has a diverse background in a variety of fields, including engineering, project management, field installation, retrofit, drafting, and modeling. Our hands-on experience plays a significant role in providing our customers with practical, functional, efficient, comfortable as well as aesthetic mechanical and electrical systems within the available budget.

Abacus Engineering is certified as DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise: WBE & MBE), TG (Targeted Group), NCMSDC (North Central Minority Supplier Development Council), and WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council).  In addition to the certifications, we are listed on the Minnesota State’s Master Contractor’s List and Minneapolis Public School Qualified Consultant List.

Abacus also performs energy and cost-benefit analyses for HVAC building renovations. Our technical team integrates Revit models with Trace 700 in order to provide our customers valuable information such as cost estimates, energy savings forecasts, and life-cycle cost paybacks.
