ABC Carolinas Chapter is the regional arm of Associated Builders & Contractors, a national non-profit organization focused on the construction industry. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, the chapter connects contractors, suppliers, and other industry professionals to promote the industry\'s image and address its challenges. Chartered in 1998, it participates in a nationwide network of thousands of member firms and emphasizes a shared voice and equality among construction managers, general contractors, specialty contractors, suppliers, and other professionals. Its work is built around a merit-based, free-market approach within the industry. In 2023, Kristen Powell was named president and chief executive officer of the Carolinas chapter. The chapter also hosts the Excellence in Construction Awards Gala, a signature event that recognizes projects and contributions within the Carolinas\' construction community.
