Acciaieria Arvedi S.p.A. is a steel producer focused on carbon steel products, including hot rolled coils, cold rolled coils, pickled coils, galvanized coils, and pre-painted coils, as well as strips and slit products. The company targets high-performance steels, such as high-strength and dual-phase grades, manufactured in thin and ultrathin gauges for automotive applications and other demanding markets. It is based in Cremona, Lombardy, Italy, and operates in-house processing lines for finishing and preparing coils through pickling, cold rolling, galvanizing, and coating. The Cremona facility began in the early 1990s as Europe’s first mini-mill for flat-rolled steel and features two hot-rolled coil lines fed by separate electric arc furnace melt shops and independent secondary metallurgy stations. The first line employs Arvedi ISP technology, integrating thin-slab casting and rolling, while the second line, in production since 2009, uses Arvedi ESP to produce hot-rolled coils in a continuous process and to roll ultra-thin gauges down to 1 mm. In May 2026, Arvedi Group announced an expansion of its Cremona facilities to increase production of non-grain-oriented electrical steel for electrification and automotive applications.
