Ackerman Family Vineyards and Ackerman Heritage House operate in the beverage manufacturing sector in Napa, California, pairing wine production with a historic hospitality offering. The operation is small and family-led, with roots in Coombsville, and it is associated with traditional winemaking, including a 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon whose 2007 commercial vintage marked the start of their releases. The Aviary at The Ackerman Heritage House functions as a tasting room at 608 Randolph Street in downtown Napa, enabling visitors to learn about the historic property and the family background while sampling the wines.

The company serves wine enthusiasts and visitors who value a connection to place and history through guided tastings and heritage-focused experiences. Based in Napa, it operates with a compact team and has pursued leadership changes to strengthen its winemaking and hospitality offerings, including the appointment of Leo Tellez as winemaker in 2019.
