Satellite TelecommunicationsFlorida, United States2-10 Employees

ACR Bivy operates in satellite telecommunications, developing tools that help people discover, track, and share outdoor adventures across the United States. Its Bivy app curates crowd-sourced details, locations, and routes for trails, waterways, and climbing, creating a shared resource for the outdoor community. The Bivy Stick lets users turn a cell phone into a satellite communicator, offering two-way text messaging, SOS, location sharing, and weather reports via the Iridium satellite network.

The company is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and was founded by Vance Cook, an outdoor adventurer and software developer. In 2021, ACR Electronics announced the acquisition of Bivy, incorporating its app and satellite communication device into its portfolio. In March 2023, Realsafe Technologies partnered with Bivy to leverage satellite connectivity to alert emergency services.
