Action on Poverty (AOP) is an Australian international development organisation. For more than 55 years, AOP has partnered with changemakers across Asia, Africa, and the Pacific to address the root causes of poverty. AOP’s work has helped more than 3 million people break the cycle of poverty in 26 countries. AOP’s mission is to identify high potential, locally led initiatives and work with partners and funders to transform them into products that can be sustained by communities, governments, or market actors, so that more people living in poverty experience measurable, lasting improvements in wellbeing, resilience, and opportunity. AOP’s work is grounded in integrity and accountability. AOP is fully accredited with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) with a DGR 1 status.
