Founded in 1994 by Dr. Michael Gross, Active Orthopedics and Sports Medicine has grown into the largest orthopedic practice in Bergen County and includes the expertise of 14 sub-specialty physicians.  What may make Active Orthopedics and Sports Medicine most unique is that each physician is both Board Certified and Fellowship Trained, which is not something every practice in New Jersey can say.

The team at Active Orthopedic offers a wide range of treatment options for orthopedic and sports injuries and utilizes the latest technologies in Joint Replacement and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.  This month Active Orthopedics and Sports Medicine also announced the opening of their orthopedic urgent care, OrthoASAP, in their Hackensack and Emerson locations. “It has been an amazing 25 years serving patients in Bergen County and we look forward to continuing to do so in the future,” says Founder and Managing Partner, Dr. Michael Gross.  “Our goal as a practice has always been to innovate and stay ahead of the curve to better serve our patients. Whether that means anticipating changes in the healthcare landscape, implementing additional specialists or integrating new surgical technology, we make it our priority to deliver to the highest quality care to Bergen County residents.”

The Active Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Team has been continuously recognized for their commitment to patient care and has received several distinguished awards, including NJ’s Top Doctors and Castle Connolly Top Doctors in Orthopedics.  

Active Orthopedics and Sports Medicine currently has three Bergen County locations in Hackensack, Emerson and Montclair.
