The Ad Council is a New York-based advertising services organization with a long history of creating social impact campaigns across the United States. For more than 80 years, it has produced public service campaigns aimed at educating, uniting, and uplifting diverse audiences, often in collaboration with nonprofits, foundations, and government partners. Its work centers on public service advertising that seeks to inform public behavior on issues such as mental health, heatstroke prevention, road safety, and other social challenges. In May 2026 it announced collaborations under the Seize the Awkward initiative with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the National Alliance on Mental Illness to promote peer support among teens and young adults. In March 2026, it expanded its mental health initiative by launching Love, Your Mind World on Roblox, the first nonprofit experience on that platform.
