Adaptive Restoration is a full-service ecological restoration and land management company based in Dane County, Wisconsin. Our land stewardship services are based on a foundation of science, learning and outreach, and responsible ecosystem management. We provide the ecological equivalent of "design-build", by guiding natural areas projects from the planning process though the design, implementation and maintenance phases. Our core competencies include ecosystem assessment, education and outreach, and the design, implementation, and maintenance of prairie, wetland, urban forest and savanna restorations.
 
Founded in 2006, our initial goal was to provide science-based restoration plan development and consulting. As clients requested assistance with restoration plan implementation, Adaptive Restoration expanded to provide on-the-ground ecological restoration services. This includes prairie establishment and maintenance, invasive species management, ecological surveys and inventories, outreach and education, environmentally sustainable landscaping, and urban forest management. In early 2009, we merged with BioLogic Environmental Consulting, which has offered science-based land stewardship services since the early 1990s. Our team has over 85 years of combined experience and training in natural areas management, and we have graduate-level expertise in environmental science, landscape architecture, and forestry.
