Adelante Mujeres is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing social equity by empowering Latina women to lead. Based in Forest Grove, Washington County, Oregon, it provides holistic education and empowerment opportunities to marginalized Latina women and families to foster participation and leadership in the community. Founded in 2002, the organization serves more than 22,000 people annually through a broad program mix that includes Early Childhood Education, Chicas Youth Development, Adult Education, Family Engagement, small business support, local farmers markets, regenerative agriculture, counseling services, mental health workshops, legal navigation, immigrant solidarity, and community organizing. It pursues partnerships to extend its reach, such as a 2025 partnership with the American Heart Association to implement food insecurity screening tools, linking community members to nutritious resources. Since 2018, Adelante Mujeres has operated the Washington County Civic Leaders Program to expand local leadership and civic participation.
