Research, development and production have been carried out at our company headquarters in Schwaz in Tyrol since 1934. In the spirit of the company founder Johann Berghofer, ADLER is still a family business today. Since 1999, the company has been in the third generation of Andrea Berghofer. As the leading Austrian paint and varnish manufacturer, ADLER supplies customers worldwide with high-tech products at the highest level. We produce paints, varnishes and wood protection products for carpenters, woodworkers as well as for the furniture, parquet and window industry. In addition, we support painters and DIY enthusiasts with a complete range of paints, varnishes, wood protection and much more. 
Innovation and research play a central role for us: 10% of our annual sales are invested in the development of new and improved products and innovative technologies. More than two thirds of the approximately 10,000 articles are water-based. In this way, we avoid the use of solvents and make an important contribution to environmental and climate protection.
