Visit us at: www.atoptics.com AdTech Photonics is one of the world’s five leading developers of quantum cascade lasers (QCLs), and a vertically integrated manufacturer of mid-infrared semiconductor lasers. With in-house MOCVD epitaxy, wafer processing, device fabrication, characterization, and reliability screening, we manage every key step for fast prototyping and scalable production. We provide QCL chips and modules in chip-on-submount, C-mount, and HHL packages, supported by LIV testing, burn-in, and wavelength binning for consistent performance. Our portfolio currently reaches the mid-IR down to ~4.6 μm, enabling gas sensing and spectroscopy (CH₄, CO₂, NH₃, NOx), environmental monitoring, industrial process control, medical diagnostics, and security & defense. Ongoing R&D aims to push wavelengths shorter while ensuring efficiency, stability, and manufacturability. Devices are available in CW and pulsed operation with matched thermal management and driver guidance. Founded in 2001 as AdTech Optics, we expanded into QCLs in 2005 and spun out the photodiode division in 2008 to focus on mid-IR lasers. The company evolved into AdTech Photonics to reflect a broader photonics mission and fully integrated manufacturing. Headquartered in City of Industry, California, we collaborate with universities and programs such as the NSF MIRTHE initiative. Our model lets OEMs engage at any level—chip, subassembly, or turnkey module—while benefiting from application engineering support, dependable lead times, and rigorous reliability from lab evaluation through volume manufacturing. Specialties: Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCL), Mid-IR Lasers (down to ~4.6 μm, with active R&D), MOCVD epitaxy, wafer processing, device fabrication, LIV & burn-in, reliability screening, wavelength binning, C-mount/HHL packaging, spectroscopy, gas sensing, environmental monitoring, industrial process control, medical diagnostics, security & defense, OEM modules, application engineering.
