Gilbert Simoni, MD, earned his medical degree from AUC School of Medicine in Netherland Antilles. He completed his residency at Trinitas Hospital and his fellowship at St. Joseph’s Hospital, both in New Jersey. Dr. Simoni is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. He founded Advanced GI, Inc. in 2007 and is fulfilling his dream of providing top-notch patient care in an environment that educates and empowers patients. This affords him the freedom to embrace and pursue the most advanced treatments and procedures in the ever-evolving field of gastroenterology. Dr. Simoni’s passion to bring technologically advanced procedures and treatments to his patients improves outcomes and increases comfort while reducing recovery time through less-invasive advancements. He was the first gastroenterologist in Southern California to be trained and perform the revolutionary TIF procedure to correct GERD. In addition, Dr. Simoni is one of few physicians in our county to offer PillCam capsule endoscopy, trans-nasal endoscopy and BRAVO – all services that provide more convenience and comfort for patients without compromising excellence in medical care.
