Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs)--inclusive of Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), and Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs)--and Physician Assistants (PAs) are all considered Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
