Advantage Behavioral Health Systems is a publicly funded provider of behavioral health, developmental disability, and addictive disease services in Georgia. Headquartered in Athens, it serves ten counties through a Community Service Board made up of representatives from those counties. The organization contracts with the Georgia Department of Human Resources to deliver a broad range of services, including prevention and outreach, child and adolescent behavioral health and addictive disease services, and adult outpatient behavioral health care. 

The scope of its services also includes emergency services, inpatient detox, offender services, women’s services, community intervention and risk reduction, as well as day habilitation and residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities and various community employment supports. Positioned within the mental health care industry as a publicly governed regional provider, ABHS relies on a substantial workforce to deliver its programs.
