The Aesthetic Eye Care Institute provides the highest quality cosmetic and functional eye care available today.  Our physicians, Dr. David Wirta and Dr. Ira Vidor, are both fellowship trained oculoplastic surgeons as well as board-certified ophthalmologists who perform expert cosmetic eyelid surgery, cosmetic injections and related eye care to their patients.

Dr. David Wirta, a Southern California native, was trained at UCLA and Jules Stein Eye Institute.  His practice specializes in cosmetic eyelid surgery, with an emphasis on a natural result.  Dr. Ira Vidor, also a Southern California native, studied at UCSB, Chicago Med and UT Southwestern in Dallas, offers both the cutting edge in cosmetic eyelid surgery and facial cosmetic treatments, in addition to treating functional eyelid and ocular problems.  He performs delicate eyelid reconstruction after Mohs surgery on eyelid and periocular skin cancers.  Dr. Vidor also makes himself available to diagnosis and treat a spectrum of ophthalmologic disorders.

The Institute shares a 6,000 square foot suite in the Hoag Health Center Newport, with the Eye Research Foundation.  Both entities dovetailing together as a center to apply the latest treatments in both eye disease and cosmetic enhancement of the eye and face.  In addition to cosmetic surgery and treatments, we offer medical and functional surgery services under most insurance plans, including the Greater Newport Physicians and Hoag Health Network, as well as most major insurances.  Surgical procedures are performed in both our in office surgery suite as well as at local outpatient surgical centers Newport Bay Surgery Center and Hoag Surgicare.
