AFIRE, established in 1988, operates as a global trade association focused on U.S. property markets. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, the organization supports international institutional investors by providing discussion forums, information, insights, and a senior-level network of relationships, facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration within the real estate sector. It serves more than 180 member organizations across 25 countries, representing a broad audience of major investors and asset managers with a view toward informed participation in U.S. commercial real estate opportunities. The association is active in the industry by hosting events and publishing surveys, including its 2024 Investment Survey for Q1, which gathers perspectives from pension funds, asset managers, and other global organizations. A recent development includes AFIRE planning participation in a pre-conference event for the NYC Investment Summit in September 2025, conducted in conjunction with the New York City Economic Development Corporation. AFIRE's activities position it as a conduit for dialogue and market intelligence within the real estate investment community.
