Africa Windmill Project operates in the farming sector with a focus on Malawi, where it addresses irrigation and sustainable agriculture needs among families. It partners with smallholder farmers to organize and operate agriculture clubs, providing four years of training that covers irrigation, sustainable farming practices, community development, farm management, and financial management. The organization is based in Winter Park, Florida, and maintains an office in Lilongwe, Malawi.

Its work targets rural farming families in Malawi who seek to improve food security and livelihoods through capacity building and structured club-based learning. Positioned within development-oriented farming initiatives, the project emphasizes training and organization of farmer groups rather than product sales. In August 2018, it launched 12 new agriculture clubs aimed at educating 360 farmers.
