The African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP) is an independent nonprofit established by a collaboration of African development organizations. Based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, it brings together public and private sector expertise to foster competitive and sustainable fertilizer markets across Africa. Its aim is to contribute to an African Green Revolution by strengthening market systems that expand access to inputs and support agricultural productivity. AFAP works with regional partners and industry stakeholders to address market constraints and support policy and practice in the fertilizer sector. A concrete recent development is its 2025 partnership with Bayer AG to promote field days that encourage improved input use in Mozambique. The organization has also collaborated with groups such as Kenya's Fertilizer Association and the West African Fertilizer Association, reflecting its role in facilitating regional engagement across the fertilizer value chain.
