The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) is an environmental services organization focused on wildlife and wild lands in Africa, headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with a staff size in the 201-500 range. Founded in 1961 as the African Wildlife Leadership Foundation during Africa’s independence era, its mission was to help newly independent nations conserve wildlife by building local conservation capacity.
