AGC of Illinois is the only statewide association representing highway, heavy and utility contractors in Illinois, based in Springfield. The organization serves contractor and affiliate members by providing a comprehensive suite of programs and services designed to support project delivery and workforce needs. Its offerings include bid lettings and tabulation, labor relations services for union members (including group and individual contract negotiations, grievances, unfair labor practice charges, arbitrations, and Taft-Hartley fringe benefit funds), employment law guidance for open shop members, safety and loss control programs, EEO and DBE services, training and education, and proactive governmental affairs, including legislation, rule making and agency practices.

It also coordinates joint IDOT/Industry Cooperative Committees, supports partnering programs, and provides group health insurance, weekly newsletter and special bulletins, a quarterly magazine, and scholarships. The association facilitates member networking through athletic and other events, and hosts an annual convention and exposition. With a small staff, AGC of Illinois serves the Illinois construction industry from its Springfield base.
