AGON is a Milan, Lombardy-based center for production, research, and experimentation in music, functioning as a reference point for contemporary music and for artistic production that relies on information technology, electronics, and multimedia. The organization operates as a small to mid-sized entity with a history stretching back to 1990, during which it has completed more than 300 productions, including concerts, composer commissions, radio pieces, theatre-music projects, videos, interactive multimedia installations, and film soundtracks. With support from Fondazione Cariplo, AGON hosted three creative laboratories in 2009–2010: Magà, a multicultural project by Yuval Avital; audioscan MILANO, a sonic map of the city and installation by Giorgio Sancristoforo; and About the Head, a 3D concert by the Crackerjack collective in collaboration with the LIM at the University of Milan.
