The AGVSPORT brand was born in the early days of AGV helmets entry into the North American market. Having its origin in the safety helmets gave AGV Sport a unique outlook in the apparel industry. Founded in 1985 by Michael Parrotte , AGV Sport sought to introduce more technical features into motorcycle apparel instead of relying on style alone as was the common practice. AGV Sport products have consistently won best in class awards from numerous motorcycle publications around the world. A high tech “helmet” mentality drives the development of most of the AGV Sport’s products. AGV Sport provides motorcyclist with a line of both affordable entry level products as well as world class high end products hand crafted in Italy. The list of riders who have worn AGV Sport products at some point during their career reads like a Who’s Who of Road racing - Randy Mamola, Loris Capirossi, Troy Bayliss, Kurtis Roberts, Steve Crevier, Ben Bostrom, Eric Bostrom, Thomas Stevens, Pascal Picotte, Roland Sands, Mike Hale, Randy Renfrow, Aaron Yates, and of course four time AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin. For the past eight seasons Mat has been an integral part of the research and development team. In addition to the information we collect from our world class professional riders a lot of input is received from our customers and our own personal experience.
