A.I. Friedman is a New York City‑based retailer serving the artist community with a broad range of materials for artists, graphic art supplies, and framing products. The company traces its roots to 1929, starting in the retail sign making and art supply sector, and has since grown into one of the largest independent dealers in art materials, graphic art supplies, and office products, backed by investments in communications, computing, facilities, and staff.

Its customer base includes artists and graphic professionals who rely on a steady supply of materials and framing solutions to support their work. Positioned as an independent retailer within the art materials and graphic arts space, the company continued its development with a notable online presence, marked by the launch of a new website in April 2017.
