We continue the AIA's mission to champion the essential role of architects and architecture in shaping the communities we live and work in. The Northeast Illinois Chapter is a community of over 500 architects, associates, students, affiliates and industry professionals in the west and northwest suburbs of Chicago. Accelerate your career: We provide our members with access to industry-best continuing education and leadership opportunities available online and through chapter events that help us all be better professionals. Support for your practice: We offer resources to improve project outcomes designed to minimize risk, avoid errors during specifications and provide market insights you can apply to your projects and business planning. Support for the architectural profession: We advocate for and support the critical role of our members, architects and architecture to the public; We influence legislation through state and local advocacy; and add our members voice to the national conversations on key issues. Chapter Boundaries: Our members are from DuPage, Kane and Kendall counties, plus the northwestern portion of Cook County outside the city limits of Chicago, north of Interstate 55 and west of the Edens Expressway.
