AIA Triangle is the Triangle Section of the American Institute of Architects, serving the architecture community in a ten-county region of North Carolina. Based in Cary, it acts as the voice for local architects, promoting design excellence and aiming to elevate the livability of the built environment. The organization relies on a volunteer board to deliver member services and pursue its goals of greater participation and recognition for architects and associate members. Its membership spans more than 750 professionals across Wake, Durham, Orange, Lee, Chatham, Franklin, Warren, Vance, Granville, and Person counties.
Within the architecture and planning industry, AIA Triangle functions as a professional association that relies on volunteer involvement to strengthen the profession and serve the community. In January 2025, it participated in a statewide event involving all AIA North Carolina members and announced the 2025-2026 AIA Triangle Leadership Forum open to all AIA NC members.
