AIDS/LifeCycle is a San Francisco–based nonprofit that coordinates a seven-day, 545-mile charity bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The event is co-produced with the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center and aims to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS while supporting testing, prevention, and care services. Throughout the year, the organization provides training and support opportunities for participants and handles logistics so riders can focus on the ride. Founded in 1994 as the California AIDS Ride and renamed AIDS/LifeCycle in 2002, the program has supported HIV/AIDS-related services through its long-running collaboration. Based in San Francisco, the nonprofit operates within the fundraising sector and has pursued collaborations to broaden its impact, including a 2023 partnership with the Palm Springs Chamber to advance philanthropy in Palm Springs.
