Aix-Marseille Université is a public institution for higher education and research based in the Hauts-de-France region of France. It is described as one of the youngest universities yet the largest by the number of students, staff, and by its budget, with about 77,000 students and around 8,000 personnel across five campuses and 19 components. The university provides programs across multiple disciplines, including arts, humanities, languages, law and political science, economics and management, health, and the sciences and technology. AMU operates as a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary university, conducting intensive research in collaboration with major organizations. It has been recognized by an international jury as an excellent French site for research under the framework of the Investissements d'Avenir program. In 2025, AMU formed a partnership with Move2Digital to advance digital innovation in collaboration with other regional institutions.
