The business began in 1964 when Jack Wierenga acquired a small die-set maker and broadened its offerings into related components. In 1968, the die-set segment was sold to a local steel supplier, and the company adopted the Ajacs Die Sales Corporation name while continuing operations in Grand Rapids.
