Aker BP ASA is a Norwegian oil and gas company that explores for and produces hydrocarbons on the Norwegian continental shelf, and is one of the largest independent listed oil companies in Europe. The company employs between 1,001 and 5,000 people and has engaged in 2026 collaborations, including partnerships with DrillDocs and Viridiengroup, and an agreement to acquire a 19% stake from Equinor in the Ringvei Vest portfolio.
