Based in Chicago, Illinois, the gallery has evolved from a private space to a public venue, occupying a turn-of-the-century townhouse in the city’s gallery district and, prior to its current site, occupying spaces in notable Chicago locales including the John Hancock Center and River North. The institution emphasizes historical breadth and modern relevance, exhibiting established figures such as Jacques Villeglé, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Louise Bourgeois alongside younger artists, and it maintains a physical presence to engage collectors and institutions through regular exhibitions and viewing opportunities.
