Alaska Wildlife Alliance (AWA) is a small nonprofit in the environmental services sector focused on wildlife advocacy in Alaska. Founded in 1978, it is the state's oldest wildlife advocacy group. Based in Anchorage, the organization aims to protect wildlife for intrinsic value and for the benefit of present and future generations. It advocates for ethical and scientifically grounded ecosystem management, supports endangered species conservation, promotes healthy human-wildlife coexistence in urban and rural areas, and safeguards important wildlife habitat across the state. AWA serves Alaska communities and wildlife stakeholders by engaging in conservation policy and related advocacy. In 2026, it, along with the Center for Biological Diversity, filed a motion in state court to halt the Alaska Department of Fish and Game's planned Mulchatna predator control program.
