The Alberta Real Estate Association, referred to as AREA, is a not-for-profit professional association representing more than 13,000 Alberta REALTORS®, drawn from ten local boards and associations. As the province’s professional body, it provides member-focused services, advocacy, and professional development to support REALTORS®. Based in Calgary, Canada, AREA operates as a mid-sized organization serving the province’s real estate community. The organization functions within the real estate industry, focusing on the interests of its members. In January 2025, AREA hosted its Annual General Meeting at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel with online access. The same year, it organized the Banff Western Connection conference, drawing nearly 1,000 attendees.
