In July of 2010, Alfmeier Friedrichs and Rath was formed to combine the strengths of Alfmeier Corporation and Friedrichs & Rath. The combined company consists of three facilities: 1) Greenville, South Carolina Headquarters: Product Design and Development, Molding, Assembly of Fluid System and Seating System Products. 2) Troy, Michigan: Technical Sales and Program Management; and 3) Monterrey Mexico: Manufacturing of Seating Comfort and Fluid System products. Molding of Innovative plastic (as of 2011) . AFR’s expertise is in sophisticated plastic injection molding and we use those skills to provide complex molded parts, or to develop, mold, and build devices that control fluid flow in vehicles. The majority of our products are for cars for GM, Chrysler, Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Hyundai, Volkswagen, and other original equipment (OE) vehicle manufacturers. Though we qualify our products through the OE’s, we focus working and on selling to Tier 1 companies – those that sell larger systems directly to the car manufacturers. Our products can be separated into three distinct categories – Fluid System Products, Seating Comfort Products, and Innovative Plastics.
