Alinda is also the largest manager in the United States of pension assets for infrastructure, and the second largest in the world.  We manage the Alinda Infrastructure Funds, unlisted institutional funds with over $7 billion in capital and approximately $18 billion in purchasing power.

The Funds’ investors are predominantly pension funds for public sector and private sector workers. These institutions seek steady investments over the long term, matching their pension liabilities. They include some of the largest institutional investors in the world.

The Partners of Alinda Capital comprise a highly experienced team in infrastructure investing. They have been responsible for over $150 billion of infrastructure investing and financing, spanning more than 20 years.

Alinda has ownership interests in infrastructure businesses that operate in 18 states in the United States, all 10 Canadian Provinces and 6 European nations. These businesses employ over 240,000 people and serve over 125 million customers annually.

We look for infrastructure assets in North America and Europe that have a strong operating record and can demonstrate a potential for:

    * steady, growing and predictable cash flow
    * strategic competitive advantage
    * limited commodity or merchant risk

Specific sectors of interest to Alinda include roads, bridges and tunnels; airports, ports and rail; water supply and wastewater treatment; gas transportation, storage and distribution; power generation and electric transmission; and utility services for residential, commercial and industrial customers.
