Allegheny CleanWays is a community-focused environmental nonprofit based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, dedicated to reducing illegal dumping and littering in Allegheny County. It mobilizes volunteers to address environmental harm, public health concerns, and neighborhood blight caused by waste on riverbanks, streets, hillsides, and parks. Through regular group cleanups, waterway campaigns from April through October, and the DumpBusters program, the organization coordinates sustained cleanup efforts; last year, more than 1,000 volunteers collected about 247,000 pounds of debris and nearly 2,300 tires. Operating within the environmental services sector, it partners with local institutions and community groups to improve urban and natural spaces. Recent developments include a March 2026 collaboration with Point Park University to launch a litter pickup challenge across eight local colleges ahead of a major event.
