The Alliance for Global Water Adaptation (AGWA) is an international, member-based nonprofit in the environmental services sector that supports water-sector experts, decision makers, and institutions in pursuing resilient water resources management. Its aim is to mainstream climate change adaptation and mitigation within water resources decision-making, policy, and implementation, through both technical and policy programs. By engaging a global network of more than 1,800 members, AGWA enables hundreds of institutions and thousands of individuals to align their objectives, co-develop resilience tools, and integrate emerging technical knowledge with financing mechanisms and policy processes into cohesive methodologies. Based in Corvallis, Oregon, AGWA operates within the environmental services landscape as a facilitator of collaboration and knowledge integration for climate-informed water management. A recent development involves collaboration with the Stockholm International Water Institute and other partners to elevate water priorities at COP26. These partnerships reflect AGWA's role in connecting technical insight, policy development, and practical application across the international water community.
