Allied Body Works, Inc. has been building work-ready vehicles since 1949, when Charles Walter Bull and two close friends left Heiser Body to launch a new kind of company—one built on craftsmanship, honesty, and a commitment to people. With just $200 each, they opened their first shop in a small garage on 4th Avenue in Seattle. In the decades since, Allied has grown into one of the most trusted and capable truck and van upfitters in the Pacific Northwest. Still family-owned and now led by fourth-generation owner Adam Keane, the company continues to evolve with the needs of today’s commercial, municipal, and specialty fleets. Allied operates four specialized divisions: Van Shop – Custom upfits for cargo vans, including shelving, racking, partitions, lighting, power, and storage systems Truck Shop – Service bodies, flatbeds, dump trucks, van bodies, contractor bodies, cranes, liftgates, and other medium/heavy-duty equipment Walker Blocker Division – Manufacturer of patented side underride guards that improve safety for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists nationwide E-Power Systems – Advanced battery-based systems for mobile power and water—no generator required—engineered for vehicles and standalone use Allied also stocks and distributes parts, offers walk-in counter service, and provides ongoing repair and retrofit solutions for fleet customers. Whether building from the ground up or supporting long-term vehicle performance, Allied delivers quality, consistency, and care across every job. Proud to be a Fourward Upfitting Member Company, Allied now supports national fleets with local service and direct OEM drop-ship capabilities—proving that you can grow bigger without losing sight of what matters most.
