Founded in 1895 at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity is a civic and social organization that promotes lifelong brotherhood among men. Guided by a commitment to character, honor, and integrity, the fraternity aims to help members develop themselves, their fellow chapters, and society. Today it is based in Neptune, New Jersey, with a presence on campuses across North America, encompassing more than 33 universities and colleges and over 29,000 initiated brothers. It serves male students and alumni within a collegiate network, focusing on leadership development and community within its chapters. Historical partnerships reflect its emphasis on member well-being: in 2018 it collaborated with The Jed Foundation to address emotional health and suicide prevention. More recently, in late 2024, Alpha Chi Rho announced a partnership with BetterMynd, an online therapy provider, accompanied by changes to its per-member fee structure.
