Alternatif Bank is a Turkish bank that entered the Turkish banking sector in 1991. It serves customers through a combination of physical branches and digital channels, supported by a workforce of about nine hundred. Following The Commercial Bank of Qatar’s acquisition of a majority stake in 2013 and full ownership by 2016, the institution adopted a renewed strategy to expand its market presence and leverage its three decades of experience to contribute to the Turkish economy.

The bank is based in Istanbul, in the Sarıyer district. In 2017, Cenk Kaan Gür was appointed chief executive officer, subject to regulatory approval.
