Established in 1986, with offices in Guernsey and Jersey, Alternative Solutions is a privately owned company. For over 30 years we have been making sense of IT in the Channel Islands and other jurisdictions. We provide a complete IT service from desktop equipment and software, through networks to servers, back up and disaster recovery. We also have a team specialising in improving business process through the adoption if IT. The vast majority of our clients have no IT resource and rely on us to provide a trusted IT solution. Alternative Solutions has taken the strategic decision to promote a UK Government backed certification called Cyber Essentials and the IASME Governance Standard. Cyber Essentials is a certification that was specifically developed by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), the information security arm of GCHQ, to help defend against internet borne threats. Alternative Solutions was the first company in the Channel Islands to achieve certification to both Cyber Essentials Plus and IASME Gold. This gives us the ability to not only assist other organisations meet the standards, but also act as a certification body.
